We’re seeking to engage a First Nations dance artist as a Youth Programs trainee under the Russell Page Graduate Program. The position will commence in January 2022 and continue to December 2022. As part of the Youth Program team, the trainee will assist with teaching and monitoring program participants, documentation, social media posts, scheduling and logistics, as well as contribute to the creative material generated for Community and education performances.
The Trainee will also work closely with the team in maintaining lines of communication with Elders and senior Community members during the Rekindling gatherings, and support the team with some administrative duties.
Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background
- Be over the age of 18
- Have a minimum Certificate 3 qualification for an accredited dance course, reasonable level of teaching experience, and be able to show evidence of working in and around Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities.
