Dwayne Bannon Harrison is a proud Yuin man from the Shoalhaven region of New South Wales, representing the spirit and cultural richness of his ancestors. As an ambassador, he brings his passion for Indigenous food and spiritual journeys to life through his work. Dwayne is the founder of Ngaran Ngaran Culture Awareness and runs Mirritya Mundya (meaning "hungry blackfish"), a catering enterprise that highlights the oldest food culture in the world, deeply rooted in the traditions of Aboriginal Australia.
Through his curated menus, Dwayne uses native ingredients and cultural storytelling to take guests on a sensory journey that connects food with the spirit. His dishes often feature indigenous plants such as eucalypt, tea tree, and bush flavors, reflecting his philosophy of "heal the land, heal the people." Every meal becomes a journey through the cultural protocols and traditions he learned from his grandfather.
This approach makes Dwayne’s suggested menus an enriching experience, blending Indigenous knowledge with modern dining to honor the land, its people, and their stories.
